Causes: Economic Development, Urban & Community Economic Development
Mission: NCCED provides information on available public and private sector resources to its members. NCCED serves as a national network for CDCs, allowing to keep in contact with each other. It also advocates for more resources from federal, state, corporate, and philanthropic sources for CDCs.
Programs: NCCED holds two national conferences each year. Each spring a public policy conference is held in Washington, DC and each fall an annual meeting is held. The location of the annual meeting changes each year. NCCED produces two newsletters, a variety of books and operates several special projects. Special projects include: religious institutions and community economic development; human capital; corporate project;, and several technical assistance projects.
