Mission: This non-profit organization represents the needs of independent abortion providers across the country that perform approximately 80% of abortions for which more than one-third of women in the United States seek in their lifetime. As medical providers, we see clearly the gap between what we hear from women each day and the debate that rages on in the public sphere. Working in the clinics directly with women and their loved ones is powerful. Based upon information received inside and outside the clinics, each woman has a unique interpretation of the information received of the circumstances surrounding her pregnancy. With personal knowledge of oneself in relationship to culture, family, work, status and available resources, each woman determines whether to carry to term.
Programs: As a membership organization, clinics, physicians, and individual allies can participate in shaping NCAP?s legislative agenda, communicate about opportunities to engage in litigation to protect the rights of their staff and patients and identify programs that would better support the safety and business health of the clinics. NCAP currently has approximatley 100 members.
