Mission: We leverage technology (e. G. , the my bridge radio network) to help connect listeners and leaders to god (magnify), to each other (unify) and to the work of god in their community, across our state and to the nations (mobilize)!
Programs: Spiritual growth: producing a 24-hour, spiritually-engaging, non-commercial radio format that fosters spiritual growth in the lives of individual listeners, leveraging both christ-centered music and practical bible teaching. The resulting spiritual growth in each individual is foundational to our purpose of advancing the gospel of jesus christ. There were over 1,500 written interactions with listeners, including prayer requests, and impact stories. 20 compelling bible teaching programs and short features brought spiritual perspective on marriage, parenting, finances and life challenges. 105 one year bibles were given away to listeners wanting to commit to reading god's word daily. 766 people requested the kindness challenge information to learn how to show loving-kindness to those around them. 745 people downloaded a date night guide to have 4 dates with their spouse to grow their marriage. 200 couples received a book about strengthening their marriage by dating their spouse. 25 struggling couples were given scholarships to attend a marriage enrichment seminar. About 500 listeners received our music advisory team survey each month, providing valuable feedback to keep our song list relevant to listener preferences. 260 books, cds, and concert tickets were given away to callers. Online listening exceeded 850,000 hours and our informative website received over 5400 visits each month.
connection: fostering cooperation among individuals, churches and faith-based ministries by serving as a common connection point for information. Relationships are built with leadership of churches and faith-based ministries and information is gathered about their activities and then communicated through our website, on-air announcements and personal conversations. Approximately 150 nebraska churches, ministries and individuals had the opportunity to share highlights of god's work through ministry spotlights, morning conversations and other on-air segments. 17 mission trips were highlighted and supported with prayer. Listeners connected with us over 2000 times regarding posting community events, on-air celebration announcements, and interactive contests. 7,000 people received our monthly newsletter, keeping them connected to local ministry opportunities and events. About 6000 received regular social media updates. 1000 people texted asking for information or registering for new initiatives. Ministry leaders and pastors representing 50 different ministries were encouraged and empowered through approximately 200 relational connections across the state about new opportunities to promote their ministries, new relationships to further their influence, new ideas to advance their objectives, new vision to expand their goals. Teaching and training was provided in approximately 25 venues.
mobilization: maximizing evangelistic opportunities by mobilizing listeners to new levels of spiritual advancement across denominational lines. Carefully selected high-impact opportunities and events are heavily promoted in order to call radio listeners to action. In 2017 some of these action points included 108 couples attending a marriage enrichment conference, 90 families attending informational events on becoming foster parents, several families attending training classes to become foster parents, others becoming respite care providers or mentors to foster children, over 500 listeners choosing to give christmas away in the drive-thru by paying for the car behind them, 28 children being hosted in safe families homes when their parents were in times of crisis, dozens sending their kids to christian summer camps and vbs programs, 95 people committing to be child sponsors for our community transformation partnership in panali, nicaragua. 21 nebraskans on two mission trip teams served in panali for a week. In addition, the growth of our listening audience in the newer 92. 7 fm signal in midtown omaha continued to increase the opportunity for mobilization by providing radio coverage to hundreds of thousands more people. The my bridge radio network includes 7 full power stations and 10 translators reaching an estimated 3/4 of the state's population over the airwaves and the remainder accessible through online streaming.
