Causes: Education, Two-Year Colleges
Mission: The mission of muskingum university is to offer quality academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences in the setting of a residential, coeducational, church-related college and in the context of a caring community where individual fulfillment is encouraged and human dignity is respected. Its primary purpose is to develop- intellectually, spiritually, socially and physically- whole persons, by fostering critical thinking, positive action, ethical sensitivity and spiritual growth, so that they may lead vocationally productive, personally satisfying and socially responsible lives.
Programs: The traditional undergraduate program consists of students attending school as their primary activity, mostly full-time during the day-time hours. Programs include 61 academic majors, 9 pre-professional programs, including pre-medicine and pre-law; teacher licensure in 21 areas; and more than a dozen international exchange study programs in a number of countries. Also available is the professionally-staffed plus program for students with learning differences. During the fiscal year ending june 30, 2017, there were 1340 students enrolled in the undergraduate program.
the graduate and continuing studies program onsists of programs designed for those seeking post-graduate certification or those who have spent more than two years since completing any secondary or post-secondary work.
