Causes: Astronomy, Technology
Mission: The Muskegon Astronomical Society seeks to promote interest in and enjoyment of amateur astronomy among club members, the general public, and the school children of Muskegon, Michigan.
Programs: We maintain an observatory complex on the outskirts of Muskegon with three buildings housing large telescopes, and a fourth building serving as a meeting room and storage facility. These are open to members at all times and to the public at least monthly. In addition we have telescope viewing nights open to the public, scheduled in public places several times each year, such as the boardwalk in Grand Haven, Hoffmaster State Park in Norton Shores, and Muskegon State Park in North Muskegon.
