I would like to nominate Muffin's Pet Connection. Jude & Norm, the founders of Muffin's, are truly angels. Thanks to them, thousands of animals have been adopted. If you go into their apartment, you will see a collage of pictures of the many, many animals that they have found homes for.

In addition, Jude & Norm have made it possible for people who were considering re-homing their pets to keep them by helping these owners work through issues that they were having with their pets. Their knowledge and compassion have guided so many people through illnesses, behavior problems, etc. Jude & Norm are always there to answer a question and give their expert advice.

Low cost spay and neuter services are also provided through Muffin's. Jude and Norm have personally helped my mother with the spaying and neutering of many feral cats. Norm came to the house with a humane trap on so many occasions in order to take these cats to the vet and then return them to their colony, which my mother maintains. They have helped to control the population of unwanted pets by preventing the births of literally thousands of animals.

And they are even there to help owners cope with the loss of a pet. I personally benefited from their knowledge and faith when I lost my beloved cat Vixen.

Jude & Norm have dedicated their lives to animals. This is who they are and what they do, and it is a labor of love. They truly are angels.

Wilma's Orphans is a small 501c3 rescue located on Long Island. The majority of dogs who come into our rescue are not neutered or spayed. Muffins has made it possible for us to get low cost veterinary care for these services with their certificates. As a rescue who depends on donations and fund raising to cover our expenses thanx to Muffins we have been able to ensure that all our "orphans" are neutered/spayed before adoption which also helps keep down the overpopulation. We could not do it without them.

I would like to nominate Muffins Pet Connections for the 2012 Top Rated Nonprofits List. Muffins helped me so much with my adopted little shih tzu who is now almost 13 years old. When my husband and I adopted him seven years ago he was underweight, had worms, liver failure and so many other issues. They helped us with the medical bills and also paid for his neutering. Our dog is happy and healthy and besides his old age he has no health issues. We would have never been able to pay all these vet bills, their generosity helped us and helped our dog tremendously. I am forever grateful for these two great people, Jude and Norm Sunden.

I would love to nominate Muffin's Pet Connection because they are passionate about helping animals. Muffin's has assisted pet owners and rescuers in finding homes for 8,800 pets including thousands of cats, dogs, puppies and other animals. Muffins' has been around for 24 yrs. I help the owner by creating handmade catnip dolls. This catnip doll is special. It was inspired by her three legged cat. The catnip doll is called Peggy Sue. Jude Lassow and her husband Norm are the founders of this wonderful place. I would love to see her get recognition for all the good she has done. She is a wonderful human being with a big heart. And I am proud to be her friend. :)
