Mission: Mud Creek Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation of open space in the Mud Creek watershed, located in Marion, Madison and Hamilton Counties of Indiana. Mud Creek is a unique area in central Indiana, both in ecological diversity and archeological significance. Land preserved in the watershed directly leverages the conservation value afforded by Fort Harrison State Park for a number of rare native plant and animal species. The Conservancy works to purchase remaining open space and conservation easements and engages both youth and adults via ongoing environmental education programs.
