Programs: Industry education and certification: the institute has supported financial management education programs and regional professional training events, among other programs, to deliver a range of industry-specific training to individual movers and companies in coordination with the american moving and storage association, the institute's parent organization.
msi awards dinner: the institute holds an annual awards dinner recognizing and lauding the noteworthy achievement and contributions of long-time industry leaders through its lifetime achievement award for distinguished service, presented at amsa's annual education conference.
scholarships: the institute fosters educational opportunities for individuals in the moving and storage industry to increase their knowledge of practices and methods in the industry and to increase their individual capacities.
