Legacy mount hood medical center has served gresham and the east county since 1912. Among the hospitals comprehensive services are:* emergency and intensive care* heart care, featuring an angio-cardiac catheterization suite* surgery and minimally invasive surgery* cancer care and radiation oncology, including the breast health center* family birth center* gastroenterology and endoscopy servicesin fiscal year 2017, philanthropic contributions supported programs in these primary areas:patient care $55,012education and training $10,129 community benefit & other hospital programs $70,272 some of the specific projects funded in this year were as follows: provided families who lost a loved one with memory-making activities, resource handouts, grief support and remembrance services. Provided continuing education scholarships to nurses and other health professionals. Purchased compression garments for lymphedema patients to prevent the return of swelling, allowing patients to regain use of the affected extremity. Provided emergency medications, durable medical equipment and other health-related supplies to uninsured, under-insured, and low-income patients. Supported the care and maintenance of the healing garden.
