I enjoy being apart of Chetana! Chetana Foundation is a wonderful non profit organization that supports people in need. I have been apart of the organization for the last two years and enjoy participating in different activities such as brown bag lunch packing, shelter cooking, and donating veggies/fruits to senior citizens. I would recommend everyone to join Chetana Foundation!

Chetana Foundation doesn’t just help communities in need all over the world, but it teaches youth important life skills like community outreach and public speaking. Volunteering with Chetana also instills a sense of responsibility for providing for those around us. The fulfillment that volunteers get after doing something good for someone else is an extremely unique feeling.

Chetana Foundation is an organization that only serves with the most sincere intentions. As a volunteer and member of my community, I was able to learn about shortcomings around me, and help from close behind. Along with this it respects the youth, and allows them to lead trusting us with many responsibilities. Chetana's work and care in Hunger Relief, Environment, Education, and Empowerment has made communities around the world a better place. I am grateful to be part of an organization that's goal is only to serve.

I joined Chetana foundation 3 years ago and am still volunteering to this day. Chetana is an amazing non profit organization that helps people around the world. They have so far helped the hungry, homeless, school districts, kids all around the world, and people with disabilities. Not only that but participating with Chetana is a super fun and exciting experience. You have multiple leadership opportunities and most of the Chetana fundraisers are all about having fun and enjoying what we are doing to help others. I made so many friends while participating in Chetana and I really recommend anyone to volunteer here.

“If you want to change the world, start with yourself.” ~Mahatama Gandhi. Those famous words from two big names summarize Chetana. Anybody who wants to serve the community, no need to wait, Chetana provides the perfect platform. Chetana started with a small seed of changing the self/the city we live in by helping the fight for biggest problem: homelessness leading to hunger. I still recall my early participation in homeless shelter cooking, with just a few families and now Chetana growing beyond Portland to change the world. I admire not only how it expanded the area it serves but also expanded its vision beyond Hunger Relief to Education, Empowerment and Enviornment. I am happy to be part of Chetana for 3 plus years and serving 2nd year for Chetana Youth Board. Plenty of opportunities not only to serve the community and impact the world we live in, but also to learn. A perfect place to grow together.
