Mission: Our Mission Statement:To develop our community and educational center for interfaith study and dialogue, as an important way of promoting understanding and peaceful relationships among people of differing beliefs in the community and in the world.To develop our networking center which serves women, children and families in crisis and transition: which provides support services to establish independent living situations, by offering information and resources within the community.To develop our compassionate health-caring community, honoring the wisdom of the world's traditions, while serving and respecting the individual's dignity, religion, culture, family & home.The LakeShore Interfaith Institute and it's parent organization, the Mother's Trust / Mother's Place, maintains a strong commitment to the integrity of each religion and faith tradition, and believes that each can better remain true to itself by honoring the truths inherent in all traditions. We are a community of dedicated individuals working together for the common good of people from various faiths, religions and spiritual backgrounds.Members, centered in their own respective faiths, wish to manifest the wisdom of the world's spiritual traditions, and with education, study and dialogue as their method, invoke understanding, acceptance and respect for all.Programs and activities are founded on the principle of unity in diversity. Each individual is centered in their own faith while participating and sharing in the faiths of others.We believe in the validity of all religions as paths to Truth.
