Causes: Human Services
Mission: The corporation is dedicated to and operating for charitable purposes as follows: a) provide services to residents of benton harbor, st. Joseph and surrounding communities within a 50 mile radius; b) create a sustainable and livable community in benton harbor, michigan by encouraging economic development through partnerships with existin organizations; c) address the human and social needs of neighborhood residents through parnterships with existing human service programs; and d) promote racial justice and work to heal racial division within the community.
Programs: Harbor shine: a full service landscape and lawncare team committed to improve and enhance the region, while providing employment opprotunities and career training. Includes the "youth shine" program, which is a 12-week summer program extended to the students of benton harbor to provide employment, life coaching, and mentorship.
mosaic resale store: a thrift store that provides retail training and job expeiences, while providing affordable necessities.
cafe' mosaic: a social business to provide employment training and job creation by serving products from a local coffee roaster and independent bakeries.
