Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: The moonlight community foundation is organized to provide and enhance opportunities for education, conservancy and youth development both for residents of the big sky community, as well as all visitors to the big sky area and is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the code. Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, this corporation shall not engage in any activities, or exercise any powers not in furtherance of 501(c)(3) purposes.
Programs: Supported an educational and nature-based camp at moonlight basin. Camp moonlight is a summer camp for children ages 3-15, and the moonlight community foundation sponsors campers from the greater big sky area to attend camp. The foundation also provides educational staffing/programs and camp equipment to ensure an educational experience for the campers.
supported numerous endeavors throughout the big sky area. These included grants relating to arts, education, trails, and other community building projects.
