This group supporting the Monticello High School Marching Band and Music Program works diligently to promote music in the schools. With the new band director, Ben Reed, on board to expand the options of fundraising, the group has begun a 5k and "Tag Day", the latter during which the students are placed at participating retailers, playing music for patrons, and in trade for a donation, giving every patron a "tag" for their car. (A window decal). It is a time-consuming, thankless job, but one done by those of us that believe in the necessity of music and arts in our schools.
