Mission: Mcop provides services to low-income individuals and families in monroe county. Mcop meets the needs of the low-income community by administering millions of dollars of federal, state, local, and private funds to achieve the mission of improving the quality of life and promoting self-sufficiency through community action.
Programs: The food program includes the community supplemental food program, the emergency food assistance program, and emergency food boxes for eligible monroe county residents.
energy conservation & energy assistance programs provide utility assistance, energy education & weatherization services to conserve energy & reduce heating costs, for low-income monroe county residents.
supportive services programs assist the homeless population through the homeless prevention program, which offers permanent housing support, links homeownership counseling, family self-sufficiency, federal emergency management assistance, & continuum of care to eligible participants & provide rental assistance, emergency hotel stays, supplemental housing, & emergency shelter.
