Saw a cute Parson Russel Terrier at the APA l, but when I called they said he’s been adopted out. Then a few weeks later he pops up again, this time at the Mo Min Pin Rescue. The adoption fee has jumped from $100 to $250, but I email to ask to setup a meet and greet, and am told by the President, they I have to fill out an application, wait 2-5 days for approval where they’ll review me and verify all my household pets are current on all their shots and vaccines. All of this just to meet the dog. I expressed my frustration with the ridiculous amount of effort on both sides just to meet the dog. I noticed when I looked them up they don’t have an address or a location. Seems they are just adopting cute/highly desirable dogs, fostering them and rehoming them out for profit. This is basically an inverted puppy mill, not a rescue. If they dog seemed to be a good fit, I have no problem having contact my vet and verifying my 5 cats and 1 dog are all current. We take good care of our pets and would have done the same with this dog. The alienation of good people with the love, means. And desire to take in another pet is the hallmark of an unsuccessful “rescue”.

I had the most terrible experience with this non-profit. I have several years experience in customer service through fine dining as well as multi family housing. The person I interacted with here was completely out of line. Their policy is no in person visits with the animals without an approved application. Well how do they approve the application? They look at your private Facebook page and deny an application because your current city you live in hasn’t been updated. I am never on Facebook! Just absolutely ridiculous. I am a person who doesn’t live for social media. I go outside and enjoy the weather. This organization needs to open their eyes as they are losing valuable people for these wonderful pets.
