Our dog, Teddy, went missing from our pet sitter while we were out of town. We were absolutely distraught to hear that, so we rushed home and immediately began posting on multiple Facebook groups. One group was Missouri Lost and Found Paws. The volunteers who run things were absolutely amazing. Within days, the group helped us network to others who could help search the areas with us, provided tips for lost pets, and had valuable other insight. The page was also instrumental in helping share possible sightings, share updates, etc. We were finally reunited after 4 1/2 months of searching of Mo Lost and Found Paws and their volunteers made all the difference. In additional to the work they do on the page, they also host clinics to check microchips, fundraiser to purchase microchip scanners and go out searching for lost pets in their free time. They are truly an amazing organization.

This group is a saving grace for the lost pets in Missouri. Before this group was formed and even before social media it was nearly impossible to find your lost pet or the owners of a pet you found. If you were lucky your pet would be turned into the humane society or APA and you’d get them back. Or the pet you found and turned in to a shelter would be found by their owner. I don’t have any statistics but I am sure that pets reunited with their owners has increased 1000% since this group was founded. Years ago a cat showed up at our house. We put a sign up at the entrance of the subdivision in hopes of finding his home. We never did find his home so he lived with us the rest of his life. I often wondered if there was someone looking for him who was wondering what happened to him. A year ago I found a little pup in the middle of highway 70 and brought her home. Since she was found in central Missouri I posted on the central Missouri page that I found her with her picture. Within hours her owner contacted me and she went home soon after. Without this page I may never have found her owner. So as I said, this group is the saving grace for lost pets.

I am impressed with how many people they reach with their posts. There are so many lost or found pets, I would not of thought of without reading all the posts on their Facebook page. It is just amazing that they only have several volunteers. I like the educational posts too, things I would of not of known until I read about them. Our pet community has a great resource having Missouri Lost & Found Paws in their corner. Some of them actually go out and catch loose pets. I helped get a few pets home by posting on their Facebook page. One was a stray cat that showed up at my house, she was 2 miles from her home and my neighbors dogs that got out. It is a great feeling helping! Without this group I don't know how many pets would not get back home.

This is the most caring and resourceful group of fur baby lovers. They go above and beyond to help in any way they can. Providing universal chip scanners to police departments had to be one of the biggest tools for any of us in a time of need. The members are always very in tune with the needs of animals and owners. They have helped a tremendous amount of lost animals make it home to their families. Great job by all!!!

These folks are always there to help when someone has lost a pet. I've been able to help multiple people in my area find their lost animals, and I've seen hundreds more posts where people are reunited with their furry family members. It's a great organization!

This group is beyond dedicated to reconnecting pets with their people in every part of this state. Volunteers deliver donated microchip scanners and kennels to police departments all over the state. They educate the community about the importance of chips and how to safely reunite pets with their people. They are responsive, approachable, and do all they can to help pets and people in our state.

The St. Louis area is lucky to have an organization like Missouri Lost & Found Paws dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families. Not only do they help reunite lost pets but they provide education on things like microchipping and also purchase microchip scanners for local police departments and animal controls. An organization that truly goes above and beyond for the community.

What a wonderful organization with an amazing group of animal loving caring people! Their main mission is getting lost animals back home with their families, and what a difference they have made!

I am glad to be able to follow some of the heart warming stories of pets getting back to their people by simply having a chip and organizations and Police Departments having scanner’s through the efforts of this group!

Great job Missouri Lost and Found Paws Inc!
