Mission: To foster and promote proper management of urban forests for social, economic, and environmental benefits to people through innovation, leadership, communication and educational services.
Programs: The council served 331 municipalities, provided trianing at two ms municipal league conferences, numerous education displays, conducted 6 workshops statewide, and conducted one statewide conference. The council also established a new program called bloom town usa with over 169 municipal partcipants, accumulated over $250,000 in volunteer match hours. Mufc continued the community orchards program developed flower grower of ms providing training to over 170 individuals with 1200 participants statewide, conducted 16 presentations to civic groups, and certified 7 arboretums. Planted over 1600 trees in communities and 10,000 floral plants. Initiated a statewide pollinator garden program.
