Mission Milby CDC offers daily programs that meets the community’s needs to participate in either day or evening classes. The adult programs are: GED; ESL; Basic Computer; Aerobics and much more. It’s a place where members of the community are able to advance their purpose in life and also to meet new friends that share a common goal. A free clinic for those in our community dealing with legal issues, such as domestic violence and immigration, JFON (Justice For Our Neighbors) will be stationed here as well. The Youth programs have different activities throughout the year such as bible study, cooking, music and always trying to add new programs that meets the youths’ interest.
Mission Milby provides amazing services to its community. Youth go daily to use the computer labs for homework, connecting with others, etc. There are many adult offerings such as GED, ESL, computer, parenting, and aerobics classes. It is also becoming the home site for JFON (Justice For Our Neighbors) which is a free clinic for those in our community dealing with legal issues, especially domestic violence and immigration.

During my ten years in MM, I have witnessed how many people (specially youth) have changed the course of their lives by taking advantage of the services provided. Mission Milby CDC is a real "Village of Hope for the Neighborhood!"
Awesome facility! They have everything to help the youth they serves to succeed and feel safe! The staff was truly a strong part of providing an environment of positivity and encouragement. When you first walk in, you see the kids smiling and enjoying themselves. A TRUE sign that they like being at Mission Milby and want to be at Mission Milby! I loved my first experience there and look forward to visiting again!
Mission Milby CDC is a partner of my church, Servants of Christ United Methodist, which is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the community. It offers services that accomplish that goal: after-school program which will concentrate on literacy, youth worship, GED, ESL and citizenship classes, cooking and exercise classes, a computer lab open to the community, Learn-and-Earn to let youth earn personal computers, work skills classes and connections, and other programs. Coming in November will be a Justice for our Neighbors clinic to provide legal aid with immigration, renters issues, domestic violence and other issues.
I volunteer on the youth council. I have seen many lives changed through programs for the youth. Several who would probably not have even graduated from high school have enrolled in college. Graduated have jobs that earn a living wage because of experiences at and encouragement by Mission Milby. Besides a safe place to go, Mission Milby offers youth social, learning and service opportunities. The youth will say what fun it is, but the growth is phenomenal!
Mission Milby is a life-changing place to be.
Mission Milby provides valuable resources to the Pecan Park Community. MM partners with local non-profits to ensure that the immediate concerns of the community are addressed either through direct on-site services or referrals. The leadership at MM is always looking for ways to improve the lives of the local residents. Providing free internet, ESL/GED and legal support services are just a few examples of the programs.
In my two years at MM, I have observed lots of people come for help. It's a great place in the community.
U.M. ARMY Is the best thing about Mission Milby, in my opinion. The Labs in this facility are AWESOME!!!!! I really love the environment in the place, it bring a sense of happiness to me. U.M. ARMY is my favorite experience of it all. U.M. ARMY stands for: United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth. It is a amazing camp where High School Kids can go help there community by building a ramp for an elderly person, or patch up a roof for a needy family. I have been visiting Mission Milby for about four years now, when I started I absolutely fell in love with it. I'm going on my fifth year and I don't regret it. I would really recommend to any random person willing to come. It is just amazing.
Coming to Mission Milby has, really, been life-changing for me. I have been a volunteer for about four years, ever since I heard of this facility. Opportunities kept coming up that challenged me to become a better person, as well as inspired me to work on different hobbies. One of these opportunities came up to be Serve and Earn, where you donate 40 hours of your time and volunteer to help build the community. After you have given your part, you are rewarded with your personal computer! There are also many events to showcase your talents; if you're a musician, it'd be a great place to play in front of people! Mission Milby is the best place I'll ever go and there will be no place to match it!
i love to volunteer here, it is really really fun i also have fun in the computer lab, and i like their cooking class it helps alot.
