Mission: Promote freedom/access to government information
Programs: The mission is to promote public access to government information and transparency of government operation with an emphasis on minnesota state and local government information. The mission is achieved via open, regular meetings with speakers, discussion of government information policy issues among coalition members and the public, awarding freedom of information award with a ceremony and public forum, website and blog entries distributed widely. Four public events were held in 2010 with attendance of approximately 175 participants. Audience reached by mailings, blog and website is estimated to be much higher.
