Programs: As a non-profit 501c3 christian radio ministry, minn-iowa christian broadcasting, inc continued its primary purpose of evangelization and christian teaching during fiscal year 2017. While it is difficult to quantify how many decisions to accept jesus christ as lord and savior were made, or to what extent an individual listener grew in their knowledge of christ, the vast majority of our listener letters, notes, emails and phone calls received this past year would indicate that this mission is being fulfilled in the hearts and homes of our listeners. For this progress, we give god all the glory 2017 was another year marked by listener growth and diversification through our newest christian radio outlets of kjgt 88. 3 fm (serving carver and mcleod counties of mn and the south and southwest minneapolis suburbs through our bloomington (91. 5 fm) and scott county (106. 5 fm) translators), our 24-hour a day spanish broadcast ministry over kjts 88. 3 fm new ulm and at 107. 1 fm in the mankato area, and our rochester, mn translator at 105. 7 fm. Of particular note has been the increase of our spanish language radio ministry staff from one to three part time workers as we continue to ramp up our presentation of our spanish language broadcast ministry. The minn-iowa christian broadcasting ministry also purchased a stand- alone building in goldfield, iowa in december of 2017 with the intent of moving the current kjyl eagle grove studios to this new location. Extensive remodeling of the purchased building continued though the close of the 2017 fiscal year with occupancy expected in early 2018. Once complete, the new studio will provide a much needed visual improvement and greatly elevated public awareness due to its location on busy highway 3 in northern iowa. Though no full power stations or translators were added in 2017, we completed the transition of our former blooming prairie, mn (now hayfield, mn) translator. In the spring of 2017 we repositioned both the fm frequency and geographic location of the blooming prairie, mn translator to hayfield, mn to provide the kinship christian radio ministry to the people of the greater hayfield, dodge center, kasson, and mantorville, mn region. After a robust start, this translator has temporarily reduced its power from 250 to 30 watts erp to explore an interference complaint from an existing radio station. New station locations were also seriously explored but eventually dismissed in des moines, iowa, sioux falls, sd and creston, iowa. Notwithstanding, the minn-iowa christian broadcasting board of directors remains poised to acquire additional broadcast properties as the lord presents and provides opportunities in new service areas. A complete redesign and deployment of our website was completed in early 2017. Additionally, we folded all of our formerly separate websites into the unified kinshipradio. Org domain. The new website has provided much greater on-line visual impact, greater functionality and enhanced identity of the various stations with the kinship christian radio brand. The new website has also provided significant increases in on-line listenership and on-line financial support from our listeners. Kinship christian radio programming continues to be available worldwide via our web stream at www. Kjly. Com and also through our digital app for both android and apple smartphones and apple ipads. Additionally, kinship christian radio is also available for streaming at itunes and apple radio. While micb, inc continues to expand and improve its programming and technical plant, we realize that, "unless the lord builds the house, we labor in vain. " micb, inc is completely dependent upon god's presence, power and provision for its continued success in the fulfillment of its goal of evangelization and christian teaching.
