This is a scammer business, cheating employees out of their well earned earnings by either not paying them for 3months after delivering a CPR course in the process they are just hoping that the employee forgot getting paid.
They are also doing some crooked thing with delivering and cheating American Heart Association (AHS) BLS certifications.
This “nonprofit” is also changing out employees delivering First aid courses without notifying the original scheduled employee. They are not paying Social Security for their employees classifying them as self employed illegally.

I have been involved in Mine Brook Search and Rescue, since the beginning of when the nonprofit was formed. Through the support of David and Lisa Kotz and all of the wonderful instructors, i have become a certified babysitter, Lifeguard, CPR/AED certified, Coast Guard Boat License, recently CPR/AED Instructor and much more. Being involved in MIne Brook SAR and Elite Tactical Academy pushed me to pursue a medical career in University. I am now a Chemistry major on a Pre-med track and being involved in both of these has helped me immensely. Five stars does even compare to the quality of service that being involved in Mine Brook SAR can give you!

Great firm!

I have known David Kotz for several years and it was David who got me trained in Tactical Combat Casualty Care and he and his team did an awesome job. Now that I have more medical training, I look back on this exsperience only to learn that it was of the highest quality!

I do not know who the previous person is that decided repost the same message.

My experience has been completely positive and I have been able to see my certification after taking their CPR class appear as completed on the actual AHA site.

I highly recommend Mine Brooke and their team.

Mine Brook Search and Rescue, Inc.. and its officers D. Kotz & Lisa Kotz
This company is a fraud! They are not a true 501.c organisation. Their company structure is hidden behind an LLC as well as other activities the owners are engaging in that seem highly irregular and questionable at best.
In addition, they have been certifying Pharmacists of CVS and Caremark companies in CPR and AED since as far back as 2011 in NY and the rest of the Northeast without submitting the required paperwork(originals) to the certifying organisation(American Heart Association).

Furthermore, the company and its officers don't classify their employees according to lawful Social Security and IRS regulations but cheat the government and employees out of Soc.sec earnings. The company and its officers have been sued numerous times in the corresponding Somerset County/NJ court system over its wage practice failing to pay employees for their services. Additionally, employees are mis-classified as independent contractors when they are clearly not. Mine Brook Search and Rescue has been under investigation by the Departments of Labor and by the SSA as far back as 2012 and 2013.
Prospective employees stay away from this company they will cheat you. Prospective business partners, clients stay away from this company they don't submit the required paperwork thus making you potentially liable for failing to comply with OSHA regulations and exposing your company to costly lawsuits.

Please consider the anonymous source - we believe this review was left by a disgruntled former Instructor who LOST the several attempts to extort money from Mine Brook Search & Rescue, Inc. We are happy to share our IRS 501(c)3 letter of determination and our very positive reviews from our thousands of students.
