Mission: The collaborative is organized and operated for educational, scientific, and charitable purposes.
Programs: Provide a medium for exchange of ideas, methods,information, and experiences as they relate to port community management and advancement. Educate policy makers and the public about michigan port priorities. Promote and encourage the public's understanding of the value of our great lakes, michigan ports and harbors, and foster public stewardship of these important resources. Collaborate with the state of michigan, its agencies, federal governmental agencies, tribal representavies, local governments, non-profit groups, private businesses and industry organizations that are committed to bettering our ports and fostering working waterfronts that effectively accommodate and balance diverse and environmentally protective uses of michigan ports.
