these acheivements and all acitivty meet the centers objective through training on advocacy skills, the development of local economic empowerment advocacy initiatives, and convening a statewide table of partners to explore and share best practices in economic empowerment, the micah centers economic empowerment work is addressing key barriers to equity for low income communities. immigrant rights and worker rights are key equity issues of concern in the community in which the micah center works. This line of work addresses this area of concern, particulary in the latino community. Immigrant rights and worker rights training; including raising awareness of issues such as deportation, organizing marches and training for workers rights, safety, recouping missing wages,etc. Number of people affected: 5,000 - 6,000.
