Mission: The methodist home of the south georgia conference, inc. Is a multi-site, multipurpose organization that provides residential placement for an average of 140 youth daily at one time. The main campus is located in macon, georgia with a capacity of 78 youth living in individual homes in a neighborhood environment with a community center gym, tennis courts, pool, chapel, etc. Additionally, group homes are located in columbus, waverly hall, st. Marys, americus and valdosta, georgia. The average capacity has been at least 90% over the course of the last year. Programs: The methodist home serves an average of 140 youth on any given day in residential care and ran at a 90% capacity on a daily basis. A large amount of work is completed simultaneously by residential placement staff and by the clinical support staff to help the family to make reunification happen in the shortest amount of time. Many of the youth who enter into the methodist home care have not experienced a safe and stable home environment for any length of time. The state of georgia has entered into performance based contracts and the methodist home has averaged scores between 93% and 107% on the performance of services provided.
