Mission: Inspired by the mission of the sisters of mercy to connect those with resources to those in need, mercy foundation raises philanthropic support and community awareness to enhance the lives of people in the communities we serve. Mercy foundation focuses on healthcare, education, housing, and care for the poor and elderly.

Accomplishments during fy17 memory care unit at mercy mcmahon terracemercy foundation raised funds necessary to construct a new memory care unit, called june's place, within mercy mcmahon terrace. This wing of mercy mcmahon terrace is specially designed to serve residents with memory impairment. Officially opened on november 7, 2017, june's place can accommodate up to 23 residents in a safe, homelike environment. This much needed facility aims to help meet the growing need in our community for residential care for seniors with memory impairment. Mercy pedalersmercy foundation was happy to partner with the sisters of mercy west midwest to launch a new ministry to serve sacramento's homeless population. During fy 2017, mercy pedalers successfully began recruiting volunteer cyclists and distributing refreshments, food and essential survival items to men, women and families living on the street in sacramento. Through the generosity of our community and the help of mercy foundation, mercy pedalers serves hundreds of homeless individuals throughout the city every weekday. Mercy san juan neonatal intensive care unitmercy foundation continues to raise significant funds to build an expanded and renovated nicu facility at mercy san juan medical center. This hospital has become a destination in the greater sacramento area for the smallest and most fragile babies needing the highest level of care. The new nicu will be able to accommodate nearly twice as many tiny patients and house the life-saving equipment needed to care for them.
