Mission: The mission of mentor iowa is to provide trained volunteer mentors to abused, neglected, and delinquent children who are under the jurisdiction of the juvenile court by working in partnership with the children, their families, and the community.
Programs: Matching program of adult volunteers with children in the polk county, iowa juvenile justice system - approximately 200 adult volunteers, approximately 85 children currently matched. Volunteers offer a unique one-to-one relationship with the goal to give neglected, abused, and forgotten children the additional guidance and attention they desperately need.
