Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Human Services, Seniors, Supportive Housing for Older Adults
Mission: To have and conduct a comfortable and secure living facility for retired persons, the aged and elderly in various types of living accommodations, while providing medical and health care, wholesome activities, and an overall healthy environment.
Programs: Mennowood provided resident living accommodations for a total of 132 residents in 2014. Assisted living residents totaled 102 and our community has staff on duty 24hrs/365 days a year to ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Our assisted living resident services include but are not limited to : dietary requirements, life enrichment programs (intellectual, pastoral, recreational, and social),emergency call system, medication supervision/administration, bathing, grooming and personal assistance, personal laundry, linen service, housekeeping, and medical appointment transportation. Our independent residents -- 30 in 2014 -- enjoy many of the same services excluding health care oversight and assistance with daily living activities. We encourage and support volunteer involvement in the enrichment of our resident's lives.
