We are committed to using the internet and the power of social networking and distributed media to build a network of activists and activities, reaching mainstream media, the educational community and the general public.
Programs: Held public film premiers for the same heart, our feature documentary on the impacts of poverty on children, in washington dc, minneapolis, (at the nobel peace forum), new york city and philadelphia. Each of these showings included a panel of experts to discuss the economics of international aid and development assistance.
we worked with the child labor coalition to advise government agencies and congress on budget appropriations, occupational safety and environmental rules as they relate to domestic and international child labor. We sponsored, along with the child labor coaltion in washington dc, a capitol hill briefing on the economics of international aid and development assistance attended by house and senate staffers. We produced a slide show on child labor supply chains that was shown at world day against child labor at the united states department of labor. Our website published dozens of reports, blogs, articles and films on the welfare of children domestically and internationally.
media voices supported the kenyon schoolhouse program, paying the school fees for 22 students in 2016. All students were former child laborers or orphans. 2 of these students graduated and were accepted to university.
