Causes: Congregate Meals, Food, Meals on Wheels, Nutrition
Mission: TO DELIVER DAILY NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO THE FRAIL AND ELDERLY MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY WHO HAVE LIMITED ABILITY TO SHOP AND PREPARE MEALS FOR THEMSELVES.
Target demographics: homebound elderly and disabled individuals
Direct beneficiaries per year: those in our community by delivering approximately 900,000 meals for the traditional, homebound program. Meals on Wheels is producing approximately 275,000 additional meals each year for the county's congregate program.
Geographic areas served: the Western New York area
Programs: meal delivery, social work, nutrition, and peace of mind for caregivers.
