Causes: Food, Meals on Wheels
Mission: The mission of the organization is to provide a hot nutritious meal to anyone who has difficulty shopping for food or preparing meals regardless of income. The service is provided primarily to senior citizens with service to others in special needs situations.
Programs: Meals were served monday through friday of every week, including holidays. Approximately 176 meals were prepared and delivered daily utilizing primarily volunteers. The organization employs one full time and three part time cooks and program assistant. Clients were charged a nominal fee of $4. 60 per day for lunch and dinner, or $4. 00 for the dinner meal service. A total of 45,890 meals were served during the year, an increase of approximately 5,300 over the prior year. The goal of the organization is to serve 200 meals daily in the next three years.
