Programs: In a year-round initiative, 38 reading partner volunteers worked one-on-one or in small groups with 100 at-risk students, grades 1-3 and in reading readiness activities with pre-k children in 8 different educational sites. In addition to dollars expended, approximately $14,701 of donated in-kind goods and services were utilized in this program.
rsvp supported 36 volunteers addressing hunger and homelessness issues for 600 clients at 8 different sites, including serving or delivering meals to shelter residents, guests at meals offered by 5 councils on aging, plus 3 church sites. rsvp supported 69 volunteers serving a variety of focus areas consisting of disaster services, economic opportunity, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families.
