Causes: Leadership Development
Mission: Maven leadership collective is a leadership development institute that inspires inclusion and access for queer social entrepreneurs and community advocates of color and our allies in south florida. We activate individual and institutional capacity building by offering educational opportunities, promoting self-care, and providing technical assistance that nurture skill development, facilitate informed dialogue, and support meaningful action in order to make our community more just, productive, and vibrant.
Programs: Maven leadership collected launched an eight-month leadership development program that provides educational opportunities to operate more effective social impact organizations, expand professional networks, and encourage self-care and wellness. It includes meeting 2-3 days a month, individual coaching sessions, and attending creating change conference in washington, dc. Maven also held community dialogues on qtpoc representation in film and television, gender and sexuality in the latinx community. Maven also hosted film screenings and panel discussions including moonlight and whose streets.
