Causes: Fishing & Hunting, Sports
Mission: To conserve, restore and manage habitat for game, fish and other wildlife on martha's vineyard and in the waters surrounding the island as well as to teach, promote and support safety in archery, boating, firearms use, fishing and hunting.
Programs: Skeet & trap shoot range is open 12-5 pm wed, fri, sat, sun. Proof of necessary licensure required. Non-toxic shot and biodegradable targets are used. Instruction is offered.
catch and release tournement annually open to the public. Event held in the evening, following breakfast purchased from the culinary arts program of the regional high school. Approximately 300 fishermen participate.
firing range: club has a 50 yard firing range open to members and their guests 7 days/week. Only pistol, shot gun and black powder firearms are allowed. The club has a special arrangement with both the local sheriff's department and us coast guard to use this range for target practice.
