Maricopa is one of the oldest and most historic communities in the state of Arizona. It is hidden in the middle of the Sonoran Desert, surrounded by mountain ranges which include the beautiful Sierra Estrella's, Palo Verde, Saddleback Mountains and Hayley Hills. The Maricopa Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of Maricopa's rich history. It is a non-profit organization that strives to inform and inspire all people to make history a part of their lives.
