Mission: Make-a-wish san diego creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Programs: Make-a-wish san diego grants the wishes of children between the ages of 2. 5 and 18 who have been determined to have a critical illness and qualify for our wish program. A total of 223 wishes were granted during the year. Total cost of wishes granted for the fiscal year were $3,843,357. Of this amount, $1,096,985 was contributed by various vendors who provided in-kind contributions of services such as travel and travel services, transportation, lodging and other services, and use of facilities to complete a child's wish. The chapter provides wish assistance to wish kids coming to san diego for their wish. The organization received $70,400 of wish assist income to help defray the costs associated with hosting 263 kids and their families. This year the wish types included travel (79%, meeting celebrities (8%), shopping sprees (6%), and the remaining 7% was a variety of wishes.
