Mission: Make A Difference is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to create positive changes in impoverished communities. Make A Difference organizes groups of volunteers who want to use their time and energy to help those who do not have the ability or resources to help themselves. The volunteers participate on service projects worldwide. On these trips our work includes construction of new homes, repairing damaged dwellings, demolishing unstable structures, creating community centers, learning centers, playgrounds and parks. Our outreach also extends to art projects, tutoring, youth programs and distribution of food and clothing. Our work is not only to build structures but also to build relationships and create connections with the local people. Our hope for the communities that we help is to let the people know that they are not forgotten or alone as they struggle under the burden of poverty, disability, infirmity or neglect. Our goal for the trips is to provide an opportunity for all those involved to realize that they can make a difference in other people's lives and their own.
