Causes: Leadership Development
Mission: To increase latinas participation in the electorial process to provide educational programs and opportunities to latinas interested in running for public office to increase civic engagement for latinas and to provide training for young latinas.
Programs: The power of women event is lupes signature fundraising event in which we honor women who have supported lupe and its missision statement. The revenue from this event is used to host the young latina leadership conference and the scholarships for attendance at eleccion latina.
the latina summit conference annually hosts hundreds of young latinas who come together at one of njs colleges to hear panelists and keynote speakers promote civic engagement. Many of the past attendees have sought other opportunities to attend eleccion latina as well as other leadership trainings.
