Causes: International, International Relief
Mission: Lubaga Fund Raising Association (LFRA) was formed to: (i) raise funds to help desperate and helpless people in Africa; (ii) construct and renovate educational facilities in villages to help get rid of illiteracy among the young and old; (iii) alleviate poverty in distressed underprivileged communities by constructing critical infrastructure and providing dire social services; and help provide critical primary health care in very poor communities, including, inter alia, the immunization of children, control of infectious diseases, (e.g. HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria), and pre-natal and post-natal care.
Results: Since LFRA started function in 2005, it has assisted in establishing Nateete Mixed Academy and Crane Educational Center, which now have enrollment of 328 and 280 students respectively.
Target demographics: The poor and the disadvantaged in marginalized communities, especially youths of school-going age.
Direct beneficiaries per year: The direct beneficiaries per yeare are over 600 students in the school and over 10,000 people in the three villages expected to benefit from the road and clinic when completed.
