Mission: Love INC of Santa Clara County was organized in 1989, and is part of the international network of Love INC clearinghouses affiliated with World Vision. Love INC provides churches with the methods and tools to organize and mobilize church members with practical skills to reach out and assist people in need. The Love INC clearinghouse receives requests for help from people who have been referred by local churches or social service agencies. Love INC qualifies and verifies the request and matches the need with a resource in a local church. The Love INC clearinghouse also helps people obtain assistance from professional or social service agencies as appropriate. Love INC provides training to volunteers in network churches in the areas of planning and life skills development. Our focus is to develop a relationship between a church volunteer and a person in need to assist them and through helping, share the love of Jesus Christ.
Programs: Love INC's programs include a clearinghouse for local churches to refer people who approach them for assistance. The Clearinghouse verifies and qualified the need and works with area member churches to fill the request with a volunteer near them. The Clearinghouse works with other social service agencies in the county to find the best source of assistance for those in need. Love INC provides mentoring training to volunteers in local churches and helps member churches structure and organize to help people in this vital area. The Love INC organization is part of the World Vision gifts in kind program and has a warehouse in the region to provide goods to help local churches to provide food, clothing, and other goods to the needy in the community. Love INC is also part of the local disaster relief community and stands willing to help organize church volunteers to help out in situations of natural disasters.
