Mission: It is the intent of the Louisville Grotto in purchasing the Lone Star property to preserve, protect and keep from harm or misuse, any and all of the 67 acres of land, including trees, plants and wildlife. It is also the goal of the Louisville Grotto and the Lone Star Preserve Committee that the property be developed appropriately to allow for the coexistence of both natural habitat and the speleological community. Furthermore, it is the desire of the group to develop the land to allow for community education about our ecosystems and to allow the opportunity to educate the public concerning the historical significance of the caves on the preserve.
