Mission: The loudon county volunteer emergency and rescue squad is a volunteer base organization to perform emergency response for the county, serving the residents of loudon county with the exception of greenback, tellico village, lenoir city and loudon (city limit) by providing support for all emergency, fire, and rescue needs.

The organization has kept state of the art equipment and facilities including two rescue trucks, five engines, two tankers, five stations, portable rescue devices, and various other vehicles, boats and trailers.
