Causes: Education, Two-Year Colleges
Mission: For the fiscal year ended june 30, 2017, the lccc foundation provided support to each of the cornerstones of lorain county community college through scholarships and faculty development (education), innovation fund (economic), support for stocker arts center programming (cultural), and support for campus grants projects (community).
Programs: Scholarship support - the foundation provided scholarships to over 867 (estimated) students of lorain county community college and/or lccc up program. Awards are made based on academic success, need, and/or talent.
innovation fund - in fiscal year 2017, the foundation issued 19 i. F. Awards totalling $775,000 to start-up technology companies that demonstrated strong growth potential for jobs to help transform the economy of the community while providing student internships in the area of entrepreneurship. The awards are paid over a term of up to several years pending the awardee company's ability to reach specified milestones in its development.
