Hi and GOD Bless you. I am honored to be the Chaplain for Long Island A.B.A.T.E. The safety and rights for motorcyclists, are very important and have been for many years. Long Island A.B.A.T.E fights for the rights, locally, for the safety and fair treatment, for all motorcyclists. They're completely run by passionate volunteers. From providing help for motorcyclists involved in an accident to honoring Veterans and Veterans organizations, they are tireless.
A great group that is helping the general public realize that they have an active role in watching for motorcyclists as they drive the streets of America. ABATE also helps motorcyclists be safer on the road by encouraging on going training. Additional groups they support with their programs include veteran groups, children in need as well as injured bikers. This is only a summary, many great things are done by ABATE and I am so proud to be a member.

Long Island ABATE is an outstanding organization for Motorcyclists. I strongly and proudly stand behind them 100% regarding their mission to help all motorcyclists by their endless efforts to make drivers be more aware of motorcycles, as well as their mission to make motorcyclists more educated in riding and their rights. Their charitable runs and events are all geared to Long Island Veterans, children and all motorcyclists. The members of Long Island ABATE are among the most generous when it comes to helping out those in need on Long Island.
Love how much an organization does for our veterans and children, not like all the other so called charities where only a portion of the donations go towards that cause, at LIABATE if $50,000 comes in, then $50,000 goes out to help, EVERY SINGLE PENNY OF IT,
ABATE is an awesome organization that helps bikers in all situations. When I lost my leg last year in a bike accident, Jim Barr was so helpful. They go to court hearings when bikers are injured & fight for the bikers rights. When someone suffers a loss of family or income, ABATE is there to help. I can't say enough about this organization & am a proud member.
I ride, I live on Long island - not easy with so much traffic and drivers in such a hurry always. That's where Long Island ABATE shines, helping make drivers of cars more aware of their surroundings - and I thank you and appreciate all your group does to make sure that I and my fellow bikers come home safely after each ride !
As a former member of a motorcycle club and now an independent rider residing in Long Island NY, I am truly grateful for all what this organization do for bikers , independents and motorcycle enthusiasts alike . Thank you all !

I have found this organization to be by far one of the most dedicated to motorcycle awareness, education & safety. It is a 100% volunteer organization. ABATE helps to save lives by keeping us alert, aware of laws and of road hazards. ABATE is the best liason between Highway Depts. & law enforcements for biker safety. ABATE dedicates 100% of funds raised from events to the cause for which the event was run. ABATE supports Veterans organizations in appreciation for all Veterans who have served. 100% of funds raised for Veterans goes directly to Veterans. Again, ABATE is 100% volunteer & all monies raised are accounted for. ABATE comes to the aid of many in their time of need. ABATE supports all bikers regardless of race, creed, nationality, or the brand of motorcycle one rides. ABATE is not a motorcycle club. It is an organization for the well being of all motorcyclists. You don't need to own a motorcycle to belong. You just need to care about the lives of people who ride. I am a very proud member of ABATE.
I have lived on long island all my life and for the last 37 years have been a passenger on my husbands Motorcycle .I have seen the great changes with successful campaigns. Abate has taken action on with the support of their organization . They have recruited our elected officials to be involved in a well deserved respect Motorcyclist should have on our roadways and from others. They have successfully made signs available to be seen all over the Island that make people look twice to save a life .Honestly I feel they can use some more support from the community and the elected officials. To get much needed funds and volunteers to make a more sufficient website presence and to help support all the wonderful things they come together for periodically. I am sure with more support they can and will provide .
I am a Biker, I live on Long island and can tell you for Fact. Long Island ABATE is very serious about protecting us , Not only our rights but for helping to make more cage drivers aware that we are out and about on our bikes and to watch out for us. If your not already a Member , Please join us . Even if you do not own a bike you can still join and support LI ABATE.
If you ride a motorcycle, whether alone or in a group, this association is invaluable. Helping the motorcycle community both in getting information to the general public regarding our sport in a good way, and in pointing out to the politicians and courts the laws that unjustly single us out, this organization does us a great service. This is the second year for me as a member, and I've made so many friends and gathered a great respect for the leadership of this organization.

LI ABATE is an organization that arrange motorcycle rides to help our veterans and community agencies. They educate the public about Bikers safety . I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I appreciate how much they give to our community.

LI Abate is a well run democratic organization .Its meetings are casual and friendly yet run in a parliamentary fashion consistent with Roberts Rules of Order . They /We exist to educate the public both riders and non riders about motorcycle safety . The charity work in the community is commendable . .This is a great group of people giving back to the community at large .Please support them .

LI ABATE is a very well run organization, conducting charity motorcycle rides, assisting veterans' organizations and educating the public about the motorcyclists mentality. They are also at the forefront of making the public aware of motorcycle safety and they are active on the political front as well, supporting issues of importance to motorcycle riders and the non-riding as well. ABATE and its leaders have developed the unique ability to inform without enforcing.
To find a group of people who works as hard as LI ABATE to fight for the rights of other people is nearly impossible. The dedication is off the charts. It is nice to see that there is an organization that really does care about their mission and not about making money. LI ABATE has NO administrative costs, 100 % of their proceeds are donated to very worthy causes!

I've Been Riding for over 30 years. Its Great to know that there is someone who stands up for our rights. LI Abate is also a great in helping the needed. last year the donate over 100,000 to the Vets of LI. Doing runs for the kids with or nothing at all. none stop toy runs. there to much to list what they do for long Island and new York ,

ABATE is a great organization that stands up for bikers rights. Bikers are always subject to discrimination by private & public owned establishments and also targeted by law enforcement. ABATE helps educate the public that bikers are everyday people from all walks of like that just like to ride motorcycles. ABATE raises public awareness of how motorists need to be alert and aware of motorcycles on the roads. Everyone who rides a motorcycle should support their local ABATE they are your voice.
Great organization, raise a lot of money for veterans and local charities, and does a lot to promote safe riding and motorcycle awareness. They also organize some great rides.
LI ABATE is a fantastic organization that brings the motorcycle community together and helps bridge the gap between them and the rest of the community. They are instrumental in coordinating many charity events and bringing awareness to motorcycle safety! The campaign for motorcycle awareness is great. and the dedication to ensure we are treated fairly in all matters is above what any other organizations has done. I am so proud to be a 15 year member of Long Island Abate! Not only does the terrific nonprofit raise awareness in the motorcycle community , but, it also helps others in need. Our Veterans are foremost in our thoughts and this past year, from our fundraising efforts , Long Island Abate donated $105,000.00 to various Veteran organizations. Our children are also in our thoughts while every year we donate huge amounts of toys and food on our St. Mary's Toy Run. This nonprofit is well organized and respected! Every event I've been to over the years isn't just an event. It's charitable, educational, fun and a great social gathering.
Long Island ABATE Inc has done such an amazing job raising awareness and educating the public. However, I am most impressed with the hundreds of thousands of dollars it has handed over directly to veterans organizations. 100% of the money they raise goes directly to their causes. No administration fees, no salaries, no "friendly" contracts with friends and family members to funnel donations to. Long Island ABATE is run how every Not For Profit organization SHOULD be run.
I've been a member as well as on the Board of this amazing Organization. It not only brings awareness to the public about motorcycling it educates the public, promotes safety of and protects the rights of motorcyclists, helps and Honors Veterans and Children and I'm proud to be a member.
Long Island Abate has paved the way for the rest of the NYS Abate organization . Abate is a good organization , but they have gotten sloppy at the state level , Long Island set a great example how to take care of its members , fight for motorcyclist rights , & also bring a strong message to motorist about motorcycles & the dangers we face
Long Island Abate is a wonderful organization. They are involved with motorcyclists rights, safety and raising the awareness of others about motorcyclists and their safety. They also do group rides to raise money for charities as well. What a great organization.

I have been on a few rides sponsored by the abate organization and found Thier dedication and safety concerns unserpassed. They are also dedicated to motorcycle awareness at large. They also show up for support to cyclists injured in accidents on the road.
