I recently had the pleasure of taking a mission trip to Haiti with my fiance'. We planned the trip and in the end it ended up just being Jackie Brandon, my fiance and I that went. Jackie and Living Water Ministries have done an incredible job in what they have accomplished with an all volunteer staff and Board of Directors. While I have worked in the mission field before, my fiance had not. What an amazing experience. The Pastors they work with in Haiti are all amazing. Bring food to the number of children they do, the coordination efforts it takes to get this job done and it is all done out of love, kindness and the miracle of God. They are a top notch organization and deserve all the praise they can get. What a blessing it was to serve with this organization!!
Living Water Ministries reaches out to the people living in the remote villages of Northwest Haiti. For 26 years this organization has relentlessly helped so many villages find a better way of life. Over 3,000 children have a vitamin enriched lunch to eat at school. Many villages now have a church and a school where they can learn the valuable lessons of life. Residents in this region are learning better ways to use their natural resources to improve the way they live. Mission Teams give unselfishly to provide some of the necessities that are missing in the day-to-day lives of these people. Donors always want to hear about sustainability. Living Water Ministries is a perfect example of the value of perseverance that makes a difference in the lives of people. When you go to Haiti and see the way people live in 2012, it brings an awareness that you cannot walk away from. You are compelled to do what you can do to help them and Living Water Ministries provides that opportunity to help.
