Causes: Economic Development
Mission: To develop and encourage educational and economic opportunties which foster understanding & experiences in the unique cultural heritage of the area, by & through the shared-use food processing kitchen incubator & food heritage center. In addition to the above the organization will also seek to provide the following: opportunties to improve the economic base of area farmers by helping them add value to the crops & products they produce. Provide affordable production space, business services & training to new & existing processors. Create new jobs in the food processing, distribution & retail industries, improve the economic base of local providers of equipment, furnishings, supplies and professional services. Encourage businesses to expand into the growing agricultural tourism & speciality food markets. Stimulate small business growth and help promote sustainable land use in the region. Help area agencies teach low income & displaced workers new skills in the food processing & food serv
Programs: Various food processors are working with the commercially equipped kitchen which is available year round. The facility is used by growers, new and existing food processors, caterers, restaurants and chefs. There are meeting rooms that can house special events or privately catered meetings for organizations or individuals.
