Mission: The LiveCenter is empowered to teach, train, and advocate for our stakeholders. Our commitment is to make a difference in the lives of our community, especially those who are underserved or not served within our community. The LiveCenter will provide needed education regarding living with disabilities and the need for inclusive growth within our city and offer opportunities for our community to partner with us in our mission to ensure inclusion and access to the disadvantaged and the disabled population. Our goal is to ensure our stakeholders have a valuable voice in deciding their independence, living, working opportunities, and achieving access. LiveCenter will take their desires and dreams, and make them viable, attainable, sustainable options leading to better independent life.
Results: We advocated for teachers and students to have mask in schools with local emergency room doctors and OBS/GYN doctors at local school board meetings. We were able to secure the permission from the school board superintendent allowing mandated mask in schools due to high risk infections of children and teachers and overcrowded hospitals. Due to generous donation from Amazon and support of health organizations partners assisted with delivery. We were able upon request with providing eight Duval county schools for teachers & students upon returning to classrooms. Over 500+ students and teachers over 5000+ mask. Assisted local adaptive sports basketball team raise funds to attend national wheelchair basketball association tournament prior to COVID where they won the Division 3 title. This assisted with their travel expenses to and from the event for entire team and parent chaperones. Providing partnership support to 1st gen college freshman with final exam gift boxes to assist with first year and first semester freshman from Duval.
