My wife and I have been associated with the Littleton Scholarship Trust of Littleton, Massachusetts for over 35 years. Through annual fund drives and bequests the Trust has grown where it now awards over $140,000 annually to qualifying graduates and alumni. I have been very impressed how over these years High School students annually collected scholarship donations door-to-door in all types of weather. We still receive letters from former graduates who appreciate how much the Trust award had facilitated their ability to attend college. It is a pleasure and an honor to serve on the all-volunteer committee that runs the Trust. This committee consists of committed Littleton citizens with various backgrounds in business, education, and government.

I fit into several categories with the Trust. My kids have received scholarships. I help the trust keep up to date with their tax filing requirement and am an enthusiastic donor. I have worked with the Trust for decades.

The Trust is an all volunteer organization that gives the vast majority of its money out in scholarships every year. Over the years they have developed a sustainable model of investment, student and community participation and committed volunteer effort. It is well run and helps Littleton college students and their parents deal with the high cost of a college education.

I have talked with many parents in surrounding towns and they are amazed at the size of the donations that the Trust gives out relative to the small size of the school system and town.
