I've volunteered at Lions Camp Crescendo and I now donate money and goods to the camp. I feel comfortable donating money and supplies because I know that they are going to a non-profit that works hard to make sure every person that steps on to the campus has a great time and know how valued they are. I am confident that Camp Crescendo puts the money to good use for campers and maintaining facilities. They also take donations in the form of goods that campers need during their stay.
I started volunteering at camp crescendo during the week of camp freedom in 2009, based on my friend’s whim. That week forever changed my life and I’ve never looked back since. I’ve been back every year. This camp freely opens its facilities every summer to allow kids who would otherwise be unable to attend a camp due to cost or physical abilities. These kids are able to forget their everyday struggles and enjoy just being kids for a week. Seeing the smiles on the kids faces at the end of the week makes all hard work and lack of sleep worth it.
Crescendo is an amazing place. I started volunteering there about 6 years ago. I instantly fell in love with the camp and their mission to help children. I now help direct the camp for vision impaired children. It is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. This camp is all about helping others, while creating a sense of community. You will leave feeling like part of an amazing family.
