Mission: The LIME Foundation provides educational resources, mentorship, and career exploration in order to develop sustainable empowerment among our diverse communities. Those served by The LIME Foundation will learn life-changing skills to harness their potential in music, performing arts, construction careers, technology, and health, encouraging all individuals to inspire their communities.
Results: 372 young people have taken the NextGen Trades Academy, where students get exposure to 24 different trades as well as OSHA (safety) certification, interview and resume skills, and financial literacy. 74% of graduates are hired within 30-60 days after graduating our program.
Target demographics: Provide alternative career pathways for underserved youth who are not college-bound, combat the severe labor shortage in the construction and trades workforce., encourage healthy lifestyles for seniors, and inspire young people through music and performing arts
Geographic areas served: The North Bay
Programs: The NextGen Trades Academy, our flagship program, which prepares underserved youth and provides a pathway for gainful employment in the trades. Students of the NGTA are exposed to 24 different trades, get OSHA (Safety) certified, interview coaching skills, and resume building. Additionally the graduates have 18 month of support in career placement after graduating from our program. The Turner Arts Initiative sets out to inspire young people who have faced adversity such as bullying, to live their authentic lives through music and performing arts.
